tips for fishing in a river for smallmouth bass?

I am fishing in the little miami river where there is excellent smallmouth bass fishing. Any tips?
I fish smallmouth by wading or floating down stream. I use about a 3 inch gulp grub on a jig or an X rap. I cast down stream from large. rocks or deep holes. And work my bait up to the rocks or through the holes.

I am fly fishing in a river in scotland (river carron), mostly summer time.

You see what’s flying around and find a duplicate from your fly box. Or just go through a few flies and see what works.
A couple of hours later it might not work any more.
Good all-rounders are the Zulus…Black Zulu and Red Zulu.
Also look at the Dunkeld flies.

Will the host of the TV Show River Monsters try fishing for the Legendary White River Monster of Arkansas?

I’ve got this idea of the question from doing a bit of reading about the White River Monster and I believed the White River Monster could be an unusually large fish of a known or little-known species that is native to the White River and other nearby rivers of Arkansas that could be responsible for the White River Monster sightings and reported attacks by an unusually large fish on people fishing or swimming in the White River and nearby rivers of Arkansas.
Why don’t you send that suggestion to the producers of the show.
I am sure they are always searching for new monsters to investigate.
I did not even know that the White River had a suspected monster.
