Late April Salmon River Trout Fishing

Captain Zack and his dad headed to salmon river in East Haddam, CT to do some trout fishing. Zack’s dad got a nice rainbow while Zack caught three brown trout and a brook trout. where is a good spot for river fishing in northern Minnesota?

I live in minnesota and was wondering if anyone knew of a good spot for fishing on a river in Northern Minnesota.

I always enjoyed the productive Mississippi River and Crow Wing River in the Brainerd, Mn area for bass, walleye, and pike as well as the usual catfish varieties and panfish. Just North of there near Nisswa, is another smaller stream near Mayo Lake that also had some surprisingly good trout fishing. Look on any highway map of the area and you will find streams. They are quite common, and with all those lakes to chose from, the streams often get over looked. Good luck.
